Property rental in Mauritius for expats

In Mauritius, direct property rentals between individuals are uncommon, as most transactions are conducted through property advertising websites listing real estate agencies offers. Rental agreements are usually signed for year with a tacit option for renewal, and typically require a deposit equal to one or two months' rent. Moreover, the agency fees often amount to a month's rent.

Most of the properties on offer come fully furnished, with additional perks such as garden and swimming pool maintenance in the case of houses.
